Our Mission And Impact
Our mission is to serve and uplift the Kansas City community through compassionate outreach and dedicated service. Since 2018, we’ve impacted thousands of lives by developing meaningful relationships with those we help, addressing both their immediate and long-term needs. We focus on poverty alleviation, reducing hunger, and preventing homelessness.
Our Story
Established in 2018, the Kansas City Dream Center is part of the Los Angeles Dream Center Network which consists of over 100+ Dream Centers world wide! Our journey began with the simple mission of finding needs and filling them. In 2020, we moved our primary office to La Fe Church, continuing the legacy of H.W. Barnett, who served this community in the 1950s. Our programs include a food pantry, clothing closet, and monthly outreaches, all aimed at supporting our neighbors and those experiencing homelessness.
Our Vision For The Future
We envision a future where poverty is eradicated, hunger is reduced, and homelessness is no longer a reality in Kansas City. By partnering with multiple churches and organizations, we aim to provide both short-term relief and long-term solutions. Future plans include expanding outreach programs, adding mobile food pantries, foster care interventions, human trafficking rescue, disaster relief, and establishing cold weather shelters and transitional housing programs.
