Brian Hughes

Executive Director

Brian Hughes has dedicated the last 20 years to helping others, starting with volunteering at homeless shelters and participating in street outreach. After a 25-year career in corporate transportation, Brian pursued his true calling: to assist those in need. As the Executive Director of Kansas City Dream Center, he oversees daily operations with a heart full of compassion. Married to his wife, Shelly, for 27 years, they have one son who also engaged in outreach before him. Brian enjoys learning about different cultures and is proficient in Spanish and conversational in Arabic.

Luke Vaughan

Director of Community Outreach

Luke is the driving force behind our outreach efforts, including managing our food and clothing pantry, overseeing volunteers, and running our social media. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, he and his wife Melissa relocated to Kansas City in January 2024, following a call from God. With a background in full-time youth ministry, Luke is passionate about serving those in need and embodying the hands and feet of Jesus. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, movies, and spending quality time with Melissa.

Patty Finn

Pantry Coordinator

Patty began her journey with the Dream Center in 2018, volunteering alongside her husband, John. With a deep passion for serving others, she embraced her role within the community. After retiring as an Occupational Therapist in the spring, Patty joined the staff as the Food and Clothing Pantry Coordinator, striving to make the pantry accessible to all and meet the community’s needs. Outside the Dream Center, she enjoys time with her husband, five grown children, and granddaughter. Patty is also an active member of her church in Olathe, KS.
